勇不可挡的公鸡

My friend showed me this article this morning. Teehee! it's very humorous!

Jonker Walk

Jonker Walk, Melacca is the must-visit place,

especially during Chinese New Year.

Jonker Walk (Jalan Hang Jebat) is a street located in the Chinatown, Melacca.

It has many antique stores, the famous Rice-Ball restaurant and Sam Suk Gong.

In the morning, many stores are open and at night, the street will be closed for traffic and turn into lively night market.

I am a regular visitor to Jonker Walk,

for instance, on this Sunday night, 24 January 2010.

Jonker Walk is only a one and a half hour journey from my house.

Interesting handcraft.

Sun Wu Kong

Sells at RM25. Cheap?

Sun Wu Kong is my favorite legend to tell stories about. Then my foreign friends will go

"Aww! Really?! Awesome!"

Sun Wu Kong is my childhood hero.

I believe 80's babies know who is he, no?

Bai Jia Xing

Chopstick is significant. I had been trained so hard by my mother to hold chopstick with the correct way, 'cause she said I am Chinese and I should learn it.

Jiang, my Chinese surname.

RM4 per pair. I bought 6 pairs for my family.

Jonker Walk truly is the best place for you and me to learn Chinese cultures. Most of the stalls sells Chinese things, such as the variety of foods, Fengshui stuff, books, decoration and etc.

Along the street you also can spot temples / pubs / bars.

In shorts, Jonker Walk had it all if you want to know more about Malaysia Chinese.

Woohoo!

For trailer, click here.

Had been trying to get a slot from my busy schedule since last week. Gosh, finally watched this movie last night with my bii. TGV Room 1, L7 & L8. Spotted me?

I am so proud with this movie. This is Malaysian's first production for CNY. We used to watch movies from Singapore, to be specific, Jack Neo's. Love all the actors/ actresses in the movie. They acted naturally and I love Ah Beng's voice. So cute and annoying. Sounds so Doraemon.

My favourite character is Ah Rain. Lols I don't know why. Don't bother to ask.

The story line naturally bring the climax and also the touching parts. You won't feel that the scenes jump from here and there. It's going smooth and sentimental.

I used to have no hope on local movies, they used to produce series/ movies with Singaporeans, which enhance the quality of the movie. Woohoo! is the only and best movie ever (up-to-date, hoping for more to come!) which we, the anak Malaysia produced!

For those who haven't watch it, let it be busy / not interested / broke or whatsoever, I strongly recommend this movie to all of you, especially my blog readers, will never feel regret. This movie let your tears rolling down and happy in the same time. I guarantee the quality of the movie. (Spokesperson wannabe, lmao)

Pet Adoption 101.

Want to get a pet?

I have my first pet at my age 8, it was a stray cat. I picked her up from the street. That was my first time fell in love and I know that she is my responsibility. Sad to tell that, she died very soon, I guess, a week later? I wasn't sure what I had fed her with or did I done something wrong, she would rather to die than spending more time with me. I cried and dreamt of her, I still recall that she came back for me, we played together, then, she flew away from me. Her body was floating in the sky and seems she is free and flying to the heaven. I tried to call her name, I couldn't speak, so I grabbed her legs. Then I woke up with my left hand on the air with tears rolling down my cheek. I was so devastated and thought of dying so that we can be together forever and ever. =(

Well, leave my sad memory behind. Let's talk about getting a pet for yourself. I would recommend dogs. For those who know me, let it be close friends or the people in my circle of life, I am a big fan of dogs. My mom is a pet lover, she is a pro in taking care of animals. I meant pet. I had my first puppies when I was 10, my bitch named Yun Yun gave birth for 5 puppies, only 3 survived. I was my first time, mind you. After the experience, when time goes by, I know that when your pet gives birth, make it like a human delivering babies. Which as a pet owner, you should bring them for check ups, ultrasound as well as healthy food before and after the delivery.

I have 4 dogs in my house while I owned 3 dogs with my bii. My first daughter is Mumble Chan, the celebrity in the house; Second is Roche Chan, Belgium shepherd a.k.a athletic in the house and Joker, the cute bitch a.k.a big eyes alien. They make me happier and delight my life. Different characteristics and moods of them trained me so well in taking care of pet's welfare. Wash the floor, clean the poo, bath them, nail-cutting, pamper them, walk them and etc. Lucky that Roche knows how to trim her own nails, I never use nail cutter on her.

Pets are adorable, let it be cats or dogs. If I am allowed to do so, my next pet would be a tiger or mini pig. Mumble Chan is adopted by us from a friend. Unfortunately, Mumble's parents died last year. To pay our last respect on such good parents, I brought Mumble to her parents' house before the dad got buried by the owner. Didn't manage to see the mom because the owner didn't inform us when Mumble's mom was ill.

Mumble is so adorable and caring, sometimes I would be very worried if she is home alone. Afraid that she will bullied by some morons or arse-holes, we decided to get a new dog so that they can take care of each other. German Shepherd is a no, Rottweiler is a big no, Golden is so gentle and blah-blah. After a research on dog's Wikipedia, we decided to get Belgium Shepherd. Fiercer than German, yet cleverer than other dogs. Diligent and obedient. Big thumb! We had searched for Belgium more than a year, at last we got it from Penang.

Then Joker. She was a surprise to my own expectation. I was having a shopping in KL then I stepped into a petshop. First met and I can't stop thinking about her big eyes and cute face expression. Being vulnerable for 3 days then I decided to take her home. She is freaking jaw-dropping expensive to me. RM 2200 for such a small dog. There's gone the half-month salary.

My friends were influenced by me and they decided to get a pet as well. My dogs are giant breeds, Joker is definitely the exception. Jeff said my dogs are tigers. They want to buy one as well but can't afford. So I came out with a superb brilliant idea. They can

ADOPT A PET!

Where to go and how?

SPCA SELANGOR

03-4256 5312 / 03 - 4253 5179
9.00AM - 4.00PM
(Everyday, including weekends and public holidays)

I strongly recommend to adopt a non-pure breed before you have one like mine.

Because

1. You are freaking new in taking care of a pet. Amateur.

2. They have stronger immune system compared to pure breeds.

3. Strong mentality and first and foremost, they don't get lost easily.

4. Charity. Or you want to conned by blood sucking petshops?

Or,

you can't bear all the expenses. Such as

1. Deworm. Depends on the size. Mumble is 34KG, costs me RM350 each year. It' a MUST!

2. Vaccination. RM25 for 6-in-1, RM45 for 9-in-1 or 12-in-1. It' a MUST!

3. Vitamins for allergic sickness. (it might happens)

4. Food food food! And treats. RM190 for Eukanuba. Treat from RM 6 a pack. It' a MUST!

5. Toys. So that they can entertain themselves at night.

6. Shampoos and accessories (nail cutter, ear drop, eye drop and etc.) It' a MUST!

Mind you, I have 3 dogs. Which mean triple the fund.

What a lovely and responsible pet owner I am.

Before you proceed further from here, read below :

Having your pet neutered, obeying community leash and licensing laws, and keeping identification tags on your pets are all part of being a responsible owner. Of course, giving your pet love, companionship, exercise, a healthy diet, and regular veterinary care are other essentials.

It's very important.

Then, the places where you can keep your pet. Your busy schedule is a BIG NO!

If you are not sure whether if you can get along with your pet,

or you are not a pet lover,

WHY DO YOU CARE TO ADOPT ONE?

So, to all the future pet owners,

be sure you can treat your pet like your family. They need love too.

If you have the criteria to be a pet owner, proceed to the next stage.

You and Me

If we are not married in the next 5 years,

If we are single and available at my age 29,

If we are meant to have each other,

If you can sing me a song,

If you can cook me a meal,

If I am the only one in your eyes,

If you still remember our first kiss,

If you still remember how broken our hearts were,

If you keep our promises in your heart,

I will marry you. ;)

The Twin R

Not sure if I am mad or just felt relief.

He never goes after girls (if he was telling the truth), now he is hooked up with a secondary school girl from Bukit Nanas.

Not being defensive, I am just puzzled, totally puzzled.

Blog hopper : Say whatever you want, you can judge me, I don't even fucking care what you think who you are.

So be it.

To the particular you:

The way you approached me, hmm. Nothing much to comment. Should I say, aggressive?

Apparently you are taking it slow now, waiting for girls to come after you. A lesson I taught you. ;)

We are so better off without each other, I can't agree more. I am not tolerate and you are always feel insecure.

Hope that you learned the lesson. You have her now, so better stop telling people I was your ex.

And to clarify your sentence, I was your ex??? So what? Promoting the past make you feel better?

Felt like giving you "left and right" when you thought I was cheating on you.

Let it be, you pushed us to the end of the road.

I am so mean, I know.

Shut you off when you sms me.

I thought we could be friends, huh!

I think I am better than you as I do not promoted you as the bad guy.

Thinking about your accusation I still can feel my heart is bleeding.

" I am betrayed by my so-called bf "

We used to be the TWIN R. Lame.

Are we enemies now?

Most Hated Cabin Crew Interview Experience.

That was the first time I just give it up before I try. I don't know what I really looking for at the moment wtf I just lost my direction. The waiting lounge are crowded with girls and boys whom faces full of confidence and nervous at the same time, I can feel that my heart squeezed and juice dropping like a melting ice-cream.
Cousin told me that it's not easy. No matter how good you are, big part of it still depend on luck. There were girls who really strive good but at the end, none of them got through all the stages.I might stumbling and mumbling when answering their questions, the girl next to me was a cabin crew of Emirates, surprisingly she couldn't make it. She was seriously good I may add.

The probability of failing at the first stage is high, probably only 3 out of 10 make through to the next stage. My question was " If you may fly to any places in the world, what's your dream destination?" Don't bother my answer, I think I said something awkward. My friend was asked if he can be someone else, who he wants to be? The rest answered cabin crew, president, tree (wtf), bird or whatsoever. He answered human with wings. He's the only one who passed first stage. So it's very subjective you don't know what they want.

One of the common questions they'll ask is : Why you want to be a cabin crew? Trust me, I can tell you 80% of the candidates rehearsed on this question before the interview, mostly will said because they like to travel, good in customer service and blah. Only 20% will get through. The rest 60% I think most probably they have face problem.

One of my friends was quite upset with my failure wtf. He told me since day one that he is waiting for me to join them as part of the team. He is a pilot and I have no idea if one day I become one, we can meet each other in the same plane or never. It will be very exciting if we have the chance become colleagues, he told me he foresee we will spend most time together wtf like small kids.

Frankly speaking I dislike SIA interviewers. I understand they might show shit faces purposely, perhaps want to observe if candidates able to remain cool and relax under pressure. I can say I was the only one focus and relax in the room, from the incomplete sentences and unrelated answers given by the rest of the candidates, I can tell they are really nervous as if they're gonna faint, drop dead, lying on the floor motionless. *puff*

Second stage is one-to-one interview. They'll create some scenario questions for you to answer, I think this is the stage your intelligence and ability to remain conscious and fast reaction will be examined. I can tell I will definitely do better here compared to group interview. *grin* I think I am born superwoman wtf, just kidding.

Despite from the shit faces shown by interviewers, the arrangement of the flow sucks to the max. I meant they may start with height and weight check first before proceed to the group interview. Undoubtedly this save a lot of time as well as manpower. They can cut down the queue up time and interview rooms. I reckon many girls are obviously over weight and big part of them too short.

I'd been waited more than 5 hours since morning before my turn. I started to get frustrated, if friends did not stop me I would walk off from the lobby with my middle fingers show right up to the sky. Yeah now you want to tell me I'm not qualified to be a cabin crew. Whatever, I've met lots of chief stewardesses and stewards having problems with anger management, but they still manage handle their job well. This is the matter of professionalism, people.

This is will the last time I go for SIA walk-in interview. Gosh hate the long queue. Bear in mind although you'll be earning Singapore dollar, but they have this serious seniority problems since ages ago. No, I don't think I can take it, I can't tolerate bullies at all. *peace* So because of this, my friend lost her confidence. It may sounds cheesy and annoying, probably you guys will blame her for being mentally weak.  *take a deep breath* Nah I don't think she's the one to blame on. Frankly speaking, I find it interesting. They are totally different from interviewers from Qatar and Emirates. Both this airlines have similar interview stages, the interviewers are friendly and they are willing to smile at you. *big smile* And most importantly, they offer much better salary and benefits.

Disagree with whom name is Namewee.

Discussed these with my friends recently. I have friends that fanatic about Namewee, saying he is the man that speak out for Malaysian.

Frankly speaking, I have different views. Is Namewee really speaks for us, I meant, the Malaysian? People saluted him for having guts to against the government and we NEED a person like him to stand up for us.

First, I knew him throught the "Singaporean issue" from Youtube. It caused a big blast and everyone was talking about the video. I found it amusing, but I do not completely agree with it. The video definately is entertaining, but we can't justify Singaporean entirely that way. KIASU, perhaps. Spit out chewing-gums? I am not sure.

Then, his another blast-off video is the edited National song. More on politics. This is where people starts to labelled him as an icon, celebrity. And then again, his most recent video "TNB issue".

Seriously, thinking about it, (regardless the bad service we USED to upset about in Malaysia), for me, Namewee deserves the bad service he got from the particular guy in the video. He did have the intention to do something, which I can't tell you what excatly is it, the fact is, he did bring a video-cam into TNB centre.

He videotaped all the conversation. From here to there, then. Imagine if you were the staff, will you find it annoying when you know who is Namewee and now he is standing in front of you, videotaping you. The staff does have the right to ignore him, in addition, he might have no idea how to fix the electricity problems. He is not the technician, perhaps?

And some people told me : " Orang itu makan kuih-muih." Why can't he do so? He might called to the respective department and waiting for them to fix the problem, there is always the possibility. While waiting, and you are hungry, why you are not allowed to eat in the office? Apart from that, it is out of normal office hours. He cursed TNB outside the office (moron and inmature). When he is called to give statement at the police station, he videotaped AGAIN from his car to the police office.

Not sure if Namewee is standing up for us (as some of them claimed) or he is just want some attention? He confessed /complained that Malaysia government rejected his certificates and he needs to go Taiwan for further studies. He claimed that "Kita anak Malaysia" and deserves fair treatment. I can't agree more about " Kita semua anak Malaysia" and Malays are the priority for government which I found it unfair as well.

Bear in your mind that, whoever studies in Chinese private school, they are definately banned/not qualified/not offered to further studies in local government U. The parents should know before they send their children to study there, shouldn't them? And now, after Namewee studied more that 5 years in the private school, he put the blame on the government as he is forced to further studies overseas. If he wants to further his studies in local U, he can always transfer to one of the government schools. Unless he has bad records or criminal, I don't find it difficult to change school.

I have no judgement on pupils from Chung Hua (private school), some of them are so good in arithmetic skills. Tell you one of the conversation I heard during my lunch where a bunch of Chung Hua High School students were sitting behind me. They are discussing about people who claimed themselves as artist. One of them said : " Shameful. they think themselves artist? No even appear on the TV show or any drama." I thought "them" should be called as "actor/actress/model/performer"? It's very bad to listen other's conversation, but it really attracted me to listen to the rest, wondering what others will comment about it. "True true. They are dreaming that they are celebrity, take photo also call themselves artist. Everyone nowadays want to be an artist. Diu!" One of them responded. "Yeah true also. Know a little bit drawing also call themselves artist, very shameful." A girl commented. "Yeah hoh. I forgot how to call people that drawing one? What already ha?" another girl asked. " Stupid. Draw in English call DRAW, if you are doing draw, then is drawing lar. People who draw is drawer la!" Then all of them agreed.

OMFG. Are they seriously dumb or 'just kidding anyways'? Their conversation was in Mandarin. People who draw = drawer? They are for-God-sake either in form 4 or 5. Can you imagine how bad is their English language? I meant the particular group. But, I still believe they are also people like them outside. It's depend on your wise decision whether if you want to study in Chung Hua or government school. I studied in a Chinese primary school and kebangsaan during my secondary studies. I have no problem at all for basic English and I can speak in Mandarin as well as Cantonese. This is one of the advantage to study in Kebangsaan school. I am still able to do arithmetic questions and scored A for Mathematics.

Namewee shouldn't put the blame entirely on others. I am not a fan of his because as for me, he is self-centered and wanting for more attention. Malaysia is a good country, we might be upset with the government, but National song shouldn't be the issue. Every video he took (that uploaded to Youtube) is definately his idea of how-to-be-famous.

The fact is, this is my blog and some blog-hoppers might find it defensive, but this is only my thoughts and never expect to change anyone's mind towards Namewee. Government wanted to put him behind the bar for insulting the National song, but did they do it eventually? No. Government needs to take some action towards it. Disagree?

Agree or not, Namewee is a free man for now and he will definately upload new videos to entertain his fans out there.

AS AN INTERVIEWER.

My blog is long overdue. I know.

I was lazy. I am lazy. Tons of photos need to rearrange into different folders.

Took lots of Christmas photos, which I snapped everywhere at anytime.

I sent my Couch back to Pavilion recently. I am without a purse now.

Still reading the new novel. Interesting. The young author is very intelligent.

People, cut the crap.

I am gonna post a blog entry about INTERVIEW SESSION today.

I am working at a company and people coming ask for vacancy everyday.

I'll pass them the application form, and asked whether if they bring the resume or certificates.

Guess what? I was disappointing at the first place. Then I started to get annoyed.

Why can't they just use their brains to think if resume is necessary if you are applying for a job?

Most of them never call in to inquiry first. Most of them answered that we never mentioned that resume needed to be handed during interview.

We did advertised that "Please contact XXX at XXX to arrange an interview".

No resume, no certificates, no photos! How are we going to hire you if you do not have any common sense?

What is the interviewer expecting from you? Here is the tips might give you a hand. These are all my experience talk.

1. Pleasant appearance. Not saying that you need to be pretty or good looking, do you think people will hire a whore-alike or mat-rempit-alike person?

2. Detailed resume and photocopy of certificates. Do not expect that the interviewers/companies will photocopy it for you. Even if they do, can't you just save the hassle, photocopy it yourself and add a bonus on your first impression?

3. Recent passport-sized photo. Not your standard 6 immature photos.

4. Complete your application form. Do not leave it blank as if they know what is the answer. Such as religion, race, hobbies, skills and etc.

5. Be honest! If you are not going to work for a long term period, please tell them. They might hire you because of your honesty. If they don't, it's okay, not a sin being a honest person.

6. Your personal hygiene for God's sake! Don't dig your nose, comb your hair with hands, and body odour!

7. Don't be a mummy's boy or daddy's girl. You are going to interview for a job, not attending class at kids care! Don't bring your whole family accompany you. Be independent.

8. Be aware of your hair color. I got it several times from people : "Your hair color is too gold-ish, have you ever consider to dye it back?" If you are doing office job, outstanding hair color might be a minus.

9. Don't provide all the details about your family members. You are the one who is looking for the job, but them. Private and Confidential, understand? Name and job description is okay, not D.O.B or IC Number. What the heck they want the IC Number for?

10. Top of the list, be yourself. Don't fake it.

These are my must-to-do list if I am going for a job interview. Up-to-date, the results is 9/10. My only failed case is Qatar Airways Cabin Crew Interview.

Oh my, don't talk about it. I was embarrassed for being late. People are dying to be in the company and I was bloody late for both the first interview and second interview. Haih.

So people, don't ever be late for your interview.

Good luck, people - Roslyn
