Jonker Walk

Jonker Walk, Melacca is the must-visit place,

especially during Chinese New Year.

Jonker Walk (Jalan Hang Jebat) is a street located in the Chinatown, Melacca.

It has many antique stores, the famous Rice-Ball restaurant and Sam Suk Gong.

In the morning, many stores are open and at night, the street will be closed for traffic and turn into lively night market.

I am a regular visitor to Jonker Walk,

for instance, on this Sunday night, 24 January 2010.

Jonker Walk is only a one and a half hour journey from my house.

Interesting handcraft.

Sun Wu Kong

Sells at RM25. Cheap?

Sun Wu Kong is my favorite legend to tell stories about. Then my foreign friends will go

"Aww! Really?! Awesome!"

Sun Wu Kong is my childhood hero.

I believe 80's babies know who is he, no?

Bai Jia Xing

Chopstick is significant. I had been trained so hard by my mother to hold chopstick with the correct way, 'cause she said I am Chinese and I should learn it.

Jiang, my Chinese surname.

RM4 per pair. I bought 6 pairs for my family.

Jonker Walk truly is the best place for you and me to learn Chinese cultures. Most of the stalls sells Chinese things, such as the variety of foods, Fengshui stuff, books, decoration and etc.

Along the street you also can spot temples / pubs / bars.

In shorts, Jonker Walk had it all if you want to know more about Malaysia Chinese.

Mumble, Happy Birthday

'Happy Birthday to you,

Happy Birthday to you,

Happy Birthday to Mumble,

Happy Birthday to you'

- From mummy 20/10/09

Celebrate her birthday with my siblings, Roche, Joker and Vincent.

Mumble staring at her food.

We bought KFC bucket and few sets of snack plate. We treated bii's family as well. I thought it would cost a blast, but it was only less than Rm100. Mumble loves chicken.

Roche and Joker shared the KFC bucket too.

Wanting for more.

Mumble with her effing cute expression, asking for more ice cream cake from us.

Whose dog can be cuter than mine?

Who who who?

Next morning.

Mumble with my new shades. Cute, isn't she?

Christmas is another 2 weeks. I have been going to KL few times in a week, looking for gifts to my loved ones. :)

Not spending much on bii, cause my plan is to buy something special, yet costly to my 3 daughters ; Mumble, Roche and Joker.

Red Christmas for Roslyn

All-in Red.

Bought a hot pink chair for myself. Got backache after I sat for at least 2 hours in front of the laptop, especially on a chair without the back-rest. The chair only costs me RM45.00.

The real ones.

Smells so fresh. The prices are not listed. Should be RM 2oo plus. Didn't buy it cause I am sure it is so gonno not fit into my car.

Oh-my-god, my favorites.

At Ikea. Can't eat it all, but the vegetarian pasta. Went throught a surgical, everyone was telling what to eat, what not to. Meatball is one of those not-allowed-to-eat list. Sad.

15 balls @ RM 14.00

Requested for extra strawberry jam. Love the french fries.

Chicken Leg with Lemon Sauce @ RM9.90

I only ate carrot. And some of the sliced chicken. The sauce taste good.

My dinner.

Vegetarian pasta. If not mistaken, only cost RM5.90. Only tomatoes.

Red is my theme.

Bought a pair of it @ RM29 each, planning to hang on car porch's ceiling. Bought a 36pcs rose-flavor candles too. It will smell so good if I light it on.

This is one of the Christmas shopping. I have not buying my new clothes and new shoes. Effing funny that I am actually a Chinese, non RC as well. I just love the fun and the satisfaction when others love the gifts given by you. I want to unwrapped gifts this year.

My parents don't buy me any Christmas gifts cause they think that I can get what I've asked even if it's not a special day or whatsoever. Back to the topic. I am gonna buy the decorations and tools for cupcakes-making. And also to practise for band singing as we are going to have a gig a week before Christmas.

Have listed out the gifts for who and who. Make me headache when come to my parents. What they want actually? My mummy always have things from my dad. Even if some of you may think it's waste of time and money, but as for me, the rule of thumb is the fun of having shopping and wrap the gifts nicely all by myself. ;)

My younger brother's birthday is around the corner. Is looking for the best gift for him. My bii suggested me to buy a Prada bag for him as the birthday gift as well as the graduation gift. I was like :"Prada?" *You think I earn as much like you?* I will eat cowshit for a month if I buy it.

Any suggestion, people? The affordable ones, please.

One-Day-Artist ;)

Had my lunch in One Utama.

My mom recommended these to me. She said I will like it so much. I doubt it cause my mom so lovely and she never criticize about anything. My hunnie bunnie suggested we should try it before any judgement made. So this afternoon my hunnie bunnie brought me there.

Bum it. It's so delicious. Seriously.

Chee Cheong Fan with Otak-otak gravy! I love the taste of it.

The Artistic Me ;)

After lunch, we took a quick walk in the mall. There were some camping-related fair and a game fair at the center court. Game fair was so-so, I would prefer to check out the camping fair as I really outdated about online games. I'm old fashion, I know =.="

Ros *Love*

That's my name ;) Umm, ignore the lady inside the hole. Some random people.

Zoom in.

Not to forget..

Calvin rawks!

Nice? Mine at the top while his name at the bottom, stomach part ;)

There are no rules stated adult restricted from it, so I simply picked up the crayon and start drawing. Kids were looking at me one kind. ROAR! *Shoo shoo, small men* By the way, the art is perfect, kids are naturally talented in drawing, no?

Made me recall of this ;)

Once I see lotsa of grafitti in town, but most of them, or should I say all of the wall were re-painted by the government department. Why should they do these? Well, arts are better than plain white walls, the people are talented, they can draw and make the town so unique and artistic, as long as they're not spreading vulgar words, I don't see any reason why should these activities banned in town. Wish that we have such places to do so in town.

After that, we went to The Curve, my favorite place. I love the Food Street and Pet's Lover Store. I registered myself as a member ;) The store is so big, I find many things for my daughters. I bought treats, bowls and toys for them. my next buying item would be the Elvis Presley's significant outfit for Joker. *Bear with mummy yeah baby* I love seeing her in clothes, so adorable and charming! *Like mummy, like daughter* Teehee.

IKEA Day

It's been awhile I didn't upload the blogs.
Well, well, well...

I'm here, fellas!

I went to IKEA again on Friday. Bought some mugs and rugs. I'm actually looking for stuff on sale, such as cabinets, laminated wood, sofas and lighting. Girls are likely stingy that guys, do you think so? I admitted that, haha. Basically I'll double check things I'm gonna buy. Check out the mugs, smell on the rugs and things that I can gurantee myself I've bought the right ones.

Few more months to go and I am free like a bird! Can't wait for it!

For time being, I've check out the new series of Sony 52" LCD. About RM 10K. If you purchased just any of the 46" or 52", you are entitled to purchase a brand new PS3 80GB at RM200!

Haha. Crazy. I rather buying Xbox. Lols, no offence to PS3 fans. I just simply can't afford to buy new games like you guys, about RM150 for each DVD game, aite?

And,

Finally I got my VIP tickets for A Mei! Lols. To be exact, 3 tickets. I'm going with Calvin and his mom. His mom likes to sing A Mei's songs, so I thought of treating her for the concert. imagine the atmosphere of Live concert! Live band and A Mei! Thanks for the tickets boss! Thanks to myself too for working like a cow for the concert planning, these should considered as my pay.

;)

By the way,

Attended Sonny Emory's Drum Clinic yesterday, at the Yamaha Headquater located in Kelana Jaya. I've drove, and guess what? A Ferrari just right in front of my car! That wasn't my concern to be in Sunway City anyways. Yeah, Sonny is the drummer of Earth, Wind and Fire. Well, as usual I've check out the drum set too, he was using the latest drumset of Yamaha! All made in Japan.

* Oh well, I'm way too excited about it, aite? *

Hopefully in the next three years I'm afford to get a custom oak for my hunnie bunnie. He got a custom superstar of TAMA, I guess he's looking for Yamaha drumset now. ;)

Had your lunch?

I had it with only 3 bucks. ;)

My camera is in my car, later I'll upload photos from the drum clinic soon.

Cheers, Roslyn

Ingredients : IKEA and Royal Classic

I am fine, fellas!

Just bought a set of bed frame, dining table and some decos for the house. Yup, Calvin loves it. I am fine with all the furniture, as the only reason hold me back was, the prices are out my budget.

It's unfair, you know fellas? I am not earning money as much as he is, so basically the prices are the most important matters to me, either buying it or not. But for my hunnie bunnie, all he cares is he likes it or not.

Well, at first, we were having different color themes and styles for the house, in our minds. I prefer warm colors, while he prefer cool theme. He likes contemporary, I am more to British style. So, as what I always do, I took his ideas. I am a considerate person, people. ;)

I am counting on every single ideas that I able to take from the people around me. Some of them shared their experiences of buying households, some of 'em told me the best places to buy furnitures, and some of my friends can't wait to attend the probably-coming-soon housewarming. (Lols. They're actually wanting to eat and have fun!) I went to IKEA few times. Almost every week. Checking out the sofas, you know~ Cheaper and stylish. (Lols. Considered stylish lar, people~)

My plans were...quite a long list. When to purchase furnitures, when to start doing plaster ceiling, tiles, laminated wood for floors, re-painting the walls, landscaping, decos, electricals and lighting. Now I understand, I experienced the hard time for being alone doing these. Yup, just a day I started to S.O.S! I called Calvin and told him I give up! I can't do it by myself; Choosing the dining table, bed frame, bed sheets, pictures, lighting, domes and roses, landscapes and even clothes! He put so much trust on me, handed me the credit card and said : " Hun, you make the call. Just go ahead. "

It's not easy. I wanted all. I can't choose. Everything is fine to me!

So, after that, we arranged our schedules, we make ourselves free on Fridays, then we'll go and checking out stuff. ;)

Guess what? We only bought decos from IKEA, all the furnitures that we bought for now, are all from Royal Classic Furniture. Hopefully can well-blended together. ;)

By the way, headache! Flooring haven't finish, so much things to rush! Any good recommendation, fellas?

Do call me!

My Shopping List.

Planning to buy a hoody or cardigan for Chinese New Year. Surfed through the net, these are what I prefer ;) You guys might wondering what's on earth I buy such clothes while ladies, commonly, they'll pick dresses or body-hugging-shirts, no?

Lols. I seldom wear dresses, people.
I seldom wear high heels, guess my height is purr-fect standard.
Body-hugging? In consideration.

Plus, I need to take care my little puppy at home, when mostly the people go out and visiting each other. Wearing dress at home? Apply make up at home? Blardy wannabe or what? It's okay people, my friends are coming over to my house. (;

So these are the things.

Elmo Hoody Jacket

Wonder Woman Hoodie

By the way,

I haven't got any hoody or jacket since last year. So probably now is the right time to import one to my wardrobe where I actually found what I like, no?

By then, this is what he got for himself.

Tan Brown Leather Bomber

Oh well. I'm the one who wore it first before the owner himself ;) Comfy.

When we go for movies, I'll ask him why don't he wears the jacket.

He said : " I'm not feeling cold. "
(What's the point you buying it, anyways?)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My bestie said : " Now you're nagging about buying new clothes. That day ajak you, you don't want to join. "

"Lols. Give me a break man. You always go for shopping. Who the hell you think I am, amat ke? Ha! You ajak me cause you expect me to bring all your shopping stuff, right?!"

"KNNB. I'm not that kind of people. If you can come, sure would be more fun."

" No no no. We're having the different taste. Sure we'll argue which shop to go first. "

" Makes no difference! Lame excuses! Later no size then you'll cry till you puke in the shop! "

"Lols. No worries lar darling.. Mine size 4 or 6 only. If 8 or 10 then I should be worry lar!"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What to buy, anyways?

How bout these?

Bondage Casual Jacket

Babydoll Style Coat

This is the problem : Babydoll. I like the coat, and it would be look purr-fect on tall people. Although I'm only 170cm. -___-"

Funnel Neck Bomber

Drey Short Techno Mac

PS :
My mom would nag me if she found out I'm planning to buy black colored jacket.

Shop for Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is around the corner, people. So you all hunnies, have you buy your clothes? Guess what? Your Bossy Queen haven't buy any clothes for Chinese New Year.

Reason One# We're still having Jimat Jimat Sale, till 15th Jan, I guess? My friends who worked in major shopping malls told me that the stock that they're selling now, actually not the latest ones (duhh..). They do sell the new arrival items, but most of it haven't arrived. So if possible, you might can wait for the Jimat Jimat Sale to finish, then you can start to shop for your new clothes.

Reason Two# Oh Well. Bought few things few weeks back, during Christmas. Watch, sport shoe, clothes, and hairdo! Made a BIG HOLE in my pocket. SOB SOB.

Reason Three# WHAT TO BUY?!

By the way,

PS ONE :

Guess Golden Triangle and Damansara are the GOOD places to shop. I have car, so no transport problem, you people. ;)

PS TWO :

During all the MAJOR FESTIVAL celebrations, this time is the best time for you to POKAI. Think twice before you buy it. (Sorry people, I'm convincing myself, don't bother me.)

Till then.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

SHOUT OUT OF THE DAY :

You make me a spoit brat, bee!

My mom rawks! I told her I'm gonna buy new clothes this Friday, then she offered to sponsor me. Love you, ma! ;) You're the best!
