Maxis Wireless Broadband

Many asked me if Maxis Wireless Broadband is good.

I already share my experience with most of them,

yet, still have more people asking me about the service.

In shorts, Maxis Broadband is good,

the only minus is you need to be in the coverage area.

As I know, most of the places in Kuala Lumpur are in the coverage area of Maxis Broadband.

Newer modem. Chio? Love the prestige of it.

I've been subscribed to Maxis Broadband since the first generation of their modem.

The modem I am holding in the picture is their newest modem, a pen-drive-alike modem.

It also CAN BE a pendrive if you insert a memory card inside the slot.

I used to pay RM118 per month, with 2 years contract, 1G speed.

About 3 months ago, received a sms from Maxis

stating that they are offering me Maxis Broadband only for RM58 per month.

The package for monthly subscription.

So the next day, I walked in to the Maxis Centre in town for more info.

They are actually offering a new package for their existed customer,

I will be paying only RM58 per month, 3G speed, without contract-bonding.

I also will not being charge to discontinue the previous contract,

unless I change to this new package using other account.

If I decided to unsubscribe this RM58 package,

the modem is belongs to me.

Different from the RM118 package,

I need to return the modem, with the box as well which I find it ridiculous lo.

Where got people still keeping the box?!

I actually argue with the Indian girl who attended me, but she was very demanding and refused to process my application unless I pay RM30 for the box.

I complaint it to my friend who worked there, to be specific, with higher position,

then he waived the charge for me.

I refused to be served by the same girl, so I go to the next counter.

Talked to the Indian guy, he told me that it's not necessary at all for me to pay RM30 for the lost box, he had no idea why the Indian girl being such an asshole.

I lodged an official complaint and hope that the girl will lose her job.

*evil, very hard to find a proper job la nowadays*

Alright, stop the non sense.

People complaining about the internet service provided by *the dominator*,

like what Kenny Sia said :

"Must be a big fans of Jay Sean, keep singing Down Down Down Down Down."

Service always down ma.

I never face any problem like that before ever since I subscribed to Maxis Broadband.

The modem is very handy and I can online everywhere without relying on the WiFi service provided by some of the fastfood restaurants and cafe.

The speed is fast, beyond my expectation.

How fast?

I can upload 5 photos to blogspot within 15 seconds.

Upload 30 JPEG files to Facebook within 1 minute.

Youtube hardly lagging, I can just press "Play" without any waiting time.

PS : I lost my laptop 2 weeks ago, luckily the thief did not steal my modem away.

I just plucked in the modem into a new laptop, the installer run automatically and connected to the internet within 5 minutes.
