Utility
The MINI is likely a better choice than the 350Z with respect to hauling capacity, especially if you frequently need to carry a lot of cargo or massive beasts. The MINI Cooper will most definitely prove friendlier than the Nissan 350Z for those of you with frequent child-cargo.
Performance
In terms of horsepower, the Nissan 350Z packs quite a punch and will knock the MINI Cooper down a few rungs. On the flip side, remember that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums. With that kind of horsepower, the Nissan is a veritable speedster.
Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Nissan 350Z than the MINI Cooper because of its more capacious tank. The MINI fits in smaller parking spaces than the Nissan 350Z. The Nissan 350Z's longer wheelbase will result in a smoother, more stable ride; however, the Cooper may give a more agile feel in daily traffic.
